Getting There
To walk from Monument Tube Station to The Walrus And The Carpenter Pub, you’ll have a pleasant stroll through parts of central London. Here are the directions:
- Exit Monument Tube Station and head northwest on Fish Street Hill.
- Continue straight onto Eastcheap.
- Turn left onto Gracechurch Street.
- Walk along Gracechurch Street until you reach Fenchurch Street.
- Turn right onto Fenchurch Street and continue walking.
- After a short walk, you’ll reach Aldgate High Street. Cross the street and continue straight.
- Aldgate High Street turns slightly left and becomes Minories.
- Continue on Minories until you reach the junction with Tower Hill.
- Cross Tower Hill and head straight onto Tower Place.
- Continue straight and you’ll soon reach The Walrus And The Carpenter Pub on your left.
Along the way, you’ll pass by several landmarks and notable sights, including:
- Monument to the Great Fire of London: Right outside Monument Tube Station, you’ll see the Monument commemorating the Great Fire of London in 1666.
