German Gymnasium, Kings Cross

From King’s Cross Tube Station to German Gymnasium Bar, the walking route is quite straightforward and takes around 5-10 minutes:

1. Exit the King’s Cross Tube Station and head southeast on Euston Rd toward York Way.
2. Turn right onto York Way and continue straight.
3. After a short walk, you’ll come across a pedestrian crossing. Cross over York Way here.
4. Continue straight ahead on York Way until you reach the junction with Goods Way.
5. Turn left onto Goods Way.
6. German Gymnasium Bar will be on your right-hand side, at the corner of Goods Way and Stable Street.

Along the way, you’ll see:

• King’s Cross Station: One of London’s major railway stations, known for its iconic architecture and bustling atmosphere.
• St Pancras International: Adjacent to King’s Cross, this is another major railway terminus and home to the Eurostar service to continental Europe. The station building is architecturally stunning.
• The British Library: Just a short distance from King’s Cross, you’ll pass by the impressive British Library, one of the world’s largest libraries, with a vast collection of books and manuscripts.
• Granary Square: A large public square featuring fountains, restaurants, and green spaces. It’s a popular spot for relaxing and socializing.
• Coal Drops Yard: A revitalized Victorian-era industrial area now filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s known for its unique architecture and trendy atmosphere.
• The Regent’s Canal: If you take a slight detour, you can walk along the picturesque Regent’s Canal, which runs parallel to Goods Way. It’s a peaceful waterway lined with narrowboats and surrounded by greenery.
