Getting There

To walk from Old Street Tube Station to Cottons Lane, you’ll start by exiting the station and heading southeast on Old Street (A5201) toward Leonard Street. From there, follow these steps:

  1. Exit Old Street Station: As you exit the station, you’ll be on Old Street itself. Turn right and walk southeast.
  2. Continue on Old Street: You’ll walk for about 0.3 miles (approximately 7 minutes) until you reach the intersection with Shoreditch High Street.
  3. Cross Shoreditch High Street: You’ll cross Shoreditch High Street and continue straight on Old Street.
  4. Pass by Shoreditch Town Hall: As you continue on Old Street, you’ll pass by the historic Shoreditch Town Hall on your left-hand side. It’s a striking building with a rich history.
  5. Turn left onto Curtain Road: After passing Shoreditch Town Hall, take the left onto Curtain Road.
  6. Continue on Curtain Road: You’ll walk for about 0.1 miles (approximately 2 minutes) until you reach the intersection with Great Eastern Street.
  7. Cross Great Eastern Street: Cross over Great Eastern Street and continue straight on Curtain Road.
  8. Turn right onto Shoreditch High Street: After walking for about 0.1 miles (approximately 2 minutes) on Curtain Road, turn right onto Shoreditch High Street.
  9. Continue on Shoreditch High Street: Walk for about 0.2 miles (approximately 5 minutes) until you reach the intersection with Commercial Street.
  10. Turn left onto Commercial Street: Turn left onto Commercial Street and walk for about 0.1 miles (approximately 2 minutes).
  11. Arrive at Cottons Lane: You’ll arrive at Cottons Lane, which will be on your right-hand side. You’ve reached your destination!

Along the way, you’ll pass through the vibrant and eclectic neighborhood of Shoreditch, known for its street art, trendy shops, and diverse dining options. Keep an eye out for colorful murals, unique boutiques, and lively cafes as you make your way to Cottons Lane.
